Mexican Businesswoman, Lighting Designer specialist in design and architectural lighting.

With over thirty years of experience, has excelled professionally with some of the most important projects in Mexico.

 

She is the director and founder of two companies:

 

UNICORP (lighting + design) and

ARCHITECTURAL LIGHTING SOLUTIONS

 

Both dedicated to the design, integration and implementation of Architectural Lighting Systems, committed and oriented to sustainable lighting.

 

She has a degree in Graphic Design by the Universidad Iberoamericana, Mexico, City.; she completed the Postgraduate in Design Methodology at the Elisava University in Barcelona, ​​Spain; also, has a MBA degree by the Panamerican Institute of High Management of IPADE Companies and a Diploma in Sustainable Design and Construction by the Universidad Iberoamericana.

 

She obtained the Lighting Certified (LC) by NCQLP (National Council on Qualifications for the Lighting Professions) in the United States.

 

María de los Ángeles has been an active member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA) since 1993; of the USGBC (United States Green Building Council) since 2007 and accredited LEED Professional by the USGBC since 2009. At IESNA Mexico, she has trained in the areas of consultancy, specification, commercial, industrial and outdoor lighting design, as well as in lighting controls, energy saving, conservation and new technologies.

 

She has been trained for 30 years by institutions and companies specialized in lighting such as the Philips Lighting Center in Somerset, New Jersey; The GE Lighting Institute in Nela Park, Cleveland; IESNA Southwestern section in Dallas, Texas; Washington Conservation Guilt in Washington, D. C.; Lutron Lighting Control Institute in Coopersburg, Pennsylvania and Philips Lighting Desing and Application Center in Eindhoven, The Netherlands.
